Hi, I’m Brooke!
I’m the designer, facilitator, and hands-on maker behind High Creek Creative — and I’ve always believed that creativity feels different when it’s shared.
There’s something quietly powerful about gathering around a table, slowing down for a moment, and making something with your hands. It creates connection. It invites presence. And honestly… it feels a little bit like magic.
My creative journey started more than a decade ago, long before High Creek Creative had a name. Back in 2009, I carved out a little corner of my life for creativity. It wasn’t a business yet — just my personal retreat from the noise of everyday life. A place to design, craft, and breathe. I called it Little Retreats, because that’s exactly what it was: a pause button. What began at craftroom desk slowly grew into something much bigger than I ever imagined. A year later, I took a leap of faith, left my corporate HR role, and turned that creative escape into my full-time work.
Over the years, my handcrafted pieces have traveled to homes and spaces in 38 countries, and I’ve had the honor of working with brands like Nordstrom, Condé Nast, Fairmont Hotels, and Chobani. My work has also been featured on the TODAY Show, Martha Stewart, and HGTV — moments that still feel a little surreal to say out loud.
But what I discovered along the way is that what I love most isn’t just making beautiful things — it’s creating experiences.
High Creek Creative has grown into a space for meaningful gathering. Today, I design guided, hands-on creative experiences and handcrafted pieces that invite people to slow down, sit together, and make something that carries a story with it. Whether it’s around a table at a brewery, in a community space, or in someone’s home, my goal is always the same: to create moments that feel easy, welcoming, and genuinely real.
Whether I’m guiding a group through a project or designing something meant to live in someone’s home, my goal is always the same: to create something that brings people together and leaves them feeling a little more connected than when they arrived.
I’m based in Lake Tapps, Washington — surrounded by evergreens, mountain views, and the kind of quiet that fuels creativity — but my work tends to wander.0
Wherever you’re gathering, I’m truly glad you found your way here.
With adventure and creativity, Brooke
